Long queues at the self-service buffet, a gloomy space and jostling to secure a sunny window seat are things of the past at Birg station. On 3 December 2011, the brand new Bistro Birg with its light, fresh and modern interior opens its doors to welcome skiers, snowboarders, families with hungry children and guests of all ages with an attractive range of culinary offerings. 

The Bistro and terrace are now full-service areas. Alternatively, a Quick Corner outlet in the self-service area of the large sun terrace offers tasty grilled sausages and a selection of other snacks. Guests in the full-service area can enjoy an attractive range of light and popular dishes with a modern twist as well as traditional soups, a freshly-prepared daily menu, a special fondue and a creative weekly menu in a cosy and inviting atmosphere.

Families with young children can look forward to a family-friendly environment equipped with games and crayons. Soft drinks are available in family-sized 1-litre bottles and pasta with salad is served in large bowls. On the terrace, the connoisseur can expect sun loungers, warm woollen blankets and a selection of choice wines in bottle quality served by the glass. The Bistro Birg can also now be booked exclusively for private evening events in summer and winter, and offers a seating capacity of 85.
